Roof top gardens have become an important feature for heat conservation and provision of green space in our urban communities. Whether it is an extensive or intensive application, Hermanns Roof Top soil blends meet the chemical, light weight and physical requirements and are FLL compliant. Composed of Composted Pine Bark, leaf compost blend, and lightweight aggregates, they have become the perfect growing medium for their respective applications.

HRT Extensive

Hermanns Roof Top "Extensive" plant media is formulated to sustain healthy growth for sedums and mosses. Designed to establish a perfect balance between the inorganic and organic components, it is composed of a proprietary blend of lightweight aggregates and Hermanns compost blend. HRT Granulite™ Extensive is available for bulk delivery and/or installation by blower truck.

HRT Intensive

Hermanns Roof Top "Intensive" plant media is formulated to sustain healthy plant growth ranging from small trees and plants to lawns. It has a medium to course texture designed to provide good drainage and aeration. It has good water and nutrient retention capacity. As a lightweight organic soil, it is perfectly blended to provide permanent, physically stable and sturdy plant support. HRT Granulite™ Intensive is available for bulk delivery and/or installation by blower truck.
