Playground Cover

At the present time, Engineered Wood Fiber is the most widely accepted playground safety surface. EWF, the technical name used to describe this loose, mulch-like mixture of mixed hardwood and softwood chips, is required to meet certain specifications regarding chip size, shape, consistency, drainage qualities and impact attenuation. Compared to playground sand, EWF is more user friendly for wheel chair users and is a cost effective way to increase playground safety.

PlaySafe Ground Cover

Our product is made from clean, uniform particle sized virgin wood and meets code and CSA approval. It is also approved by IPEMA. Depending on the fall height requirement, the product is generally installed at 300 mm - 400 mm thickness on a free draining base. PlaySafe Ground Cover can be delivered in bulk and/or installed by blower truck.
