Turf Rehabilitation

Turf rehabilitation utilizes the fundamentals of topdressing. Topdressing is a proven cultural practice often completed in conjunction with aeration and seeding. Existing turf areas can be revitalized by first core aerating the turf surface and then by using the blower truck injection system to apply the specified seed mix with a fine screened, composted soil at a thickness of 6mm (1/4").
Depending on the area to be topdressed and the type of aeration, this can be followed by a raking in or chain mat dragging further ensuring that seed and soil have been projected directly into the aeration holes. Since the seed is placed below the topdressing surface, seed germination is greatly improved and furnished by the nutrition in the composted soil layer, deep, strong root shoots will develop resulting in a healthy and hardy turf surface.
